i-Fitness is a health and wellness company. With 21 branches across Nigeria, our highly equipped gym facilities complemented by the expertise of over 250 professionally certified personal trainers provide our members with a holistic and all-inclusive fitness and wellness experience. Our offerings include multi-location access and over 50 varied monthly fitness programs to suit and support the fitness lifestyles of our vast membership base.
i-Fitness is committed to providing a youthful, entertaining yet rewarding fitness experience to many thousands of people, thereby promoting access to happier and healthier lives.

i-Fitness is managed by a Board of Directors comprising seasoned professionals with extensive years of experience and a range of diverse specialities that complement the growth and development of the company.

Foluso Ogunwale

Foluso is the founder and CEO of i-Fitness Gym and Wellness Centre Ltd.

He is a serial entrepreneur with several years of experience in Sales, Marketing and HR with Skye Bank Plc.

He began his journey into entrepreneurship in 2013. He founded Premier Impact Ltd in 2011, which later became Yes Mobile in 2015 – an electronics retail chain with 5 branches in Lagos. The company was the first to launch two innovative retail initiatives in Nigeria in mobile: the mobile electronics insurance with Axa Mansard PLC and the mobile swap initiative enabling customers to trade in their old devices (laptops & phones) for new ones. He successfully led the company from an annual turnover of N400m in 2011 to N4bn annual turnover in 2016 before entering into an acquisition deal with Yudala Nigeria Ltd, now Konga Ltd.

Foluso founded i-Fitness in 2015 with the vision to build Africa’s preferred fitness chain. The company is on a mission to make the culture of health and fitness common, more fun, more convenient and more affordable to millions of Nigerians and Africans.

Foluso has a B.Sc in Accounting and MSc. Financial Economics from the University of London, and is a senior professional in Human Resources (SHRM/SPHR).

Danladi Verheijen

Danladi is a Co-founder and Managing Partner of Verod. Before founding Verod, Danladi held roles at Citibank Nigeria, Ocean and Oil Holdings, and McKinsey & Company. He is a Director of DTRT Apparel Ghana, Shaldag Limited, and Niyya Farm Group. Danladi also sits on the board of the African Venture Capital Association (AVCA) and the Private Equity and Venture Capital Association of Nigeria (PEVCAN). He was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2014. He received a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Calvin College, an M.Sc. in Engineering-Economic Systems & Operations Research from Stanford University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School

Nnenna Onyewuchi

Nnenna co-founded Yellow Brick Road, a creative solutions company in 2010 and is currently Executive Director Strategy & Innovations. She has over 25 years of experience in marketing and business strategy experience, spanning 3 continents, and a variety of creative sectors including advertising, experiential marketing, content production and distribution, and pay TV. She has worked with McCann New York, rising to the position of Vice President and co-founding Tag Ideation, a lifestyle marketing practice group. She has held positions at CPMS, TBWA/Concept, Small World Media and HiTV, and ZK Advertising.

In 2022, Nnenna shifted her focus to building the company’s marketing technology offering. That year, she was rated 2nd among strategists in the Loeries’ Official Rankings of creative professionals in Africa and the Middle East. In 2023, she served as a juror for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. She is also a member of the Creative Council of Africa No Filter. She sits on the board of several companies and was chairperson of the board of WAVE, a non-profit working to solve youth unemployment in the West African sub-region.

Barene Jankovich-Besan

Barene is an independent Director of Verod Capital. She has extensive experience in C Suite, consumer insights, business and marketing strategies, and campaign design and execution. She was Marketing Director at Standard Bank Group South Africa and later in Nigeria, and has worked with Kantar East Africa, Kenya where she consulted for Google and Coke. She was invited to Nigeria and became the Marketing Director at Pernod Ricard Nigeria where the Jameson and Martell brands became marketing leaders during her tenure.

Barene has a degree in Mathematics and Psychology, a post-graduate degree in Psychology and in Education, and an MBA.

Daniel Adeoye

Daniel Adeoye leads the Investment Team for the Private Equity Group at Verod Capital. He spearheads origination efforts; and, collaborating closely with founders, CEOs, and senior management teams, supports partner companies to accelerate growth and execute value-creation plans. 

Daniel joined Verod in 2009 from Zenith Capital Management, where he specialized in equity and debt offerings, strategic advisory initiatives, and M&A. He works with the firm’s investments in Greensprings School, Rainbow Educational Services and Central Securities Clearing Systems Plc (NASD: SDCSCSPLC) and sits on several Boards, including the Boards of Daystar Power group, Tangerine Pensions, APT Pensions and Rotoprint. He was actively involved in Verod’s investments in GZI, Rotoprint, Sac Oil (JSE: SCL), HFP Industries, African Lifestyle, and Transnationals Academic group. 

Daniel holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Daniel is a member of the Institute of Directors.
